Sarah graduated from Emory University with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2019 and William and Mary with a BA in 2015. She grew up in Chantilly, Virginia and after working for 2 years in hospital-based acute care, transitioned to Ascend Physical Therapy and Wellness in May of 2021.
Sarah is passionate about working alongside her clients to find the cause of impairments and the best treatments for them as individuals. She has strong experience in dizziness, brain injury, complex comorbidities, and Parkinson's disease. She is also well versed in sports injury recovery, spine pain, and return to running programming. When not working, Sarah can be found running on the Cross County Connector Trail or bird watching at Burke Lake.
Apryl graduated from Cebu Doctors’ University with a degree in Physical Therapy and recently recevied her Doctorate in Phyical Therapy - congratulations Apryl!
She has a strong interest in musculoskeletal conditions and post operative care, and gained valuable experience working alongside clinical instructors who are board accredited orthopedic certified specialists during clinical internship.
Apryl believes the philosophy that ‘Motion is Lotion’ - a memorable way to convey the helpful effects of movement for any painful condition - is essential to helping people make a positive change and achieve maximum function.
Kim is a long time fitness enthusiast, having played soccer at the University of Michigan and graduating with Physical Therapy MA from Drexel University.
Kim channeled her love of health and fitness into a career of physical therapy, practicing outpatient physical therapy for seven years with HealthSouth, Charlotte, NC. While raising two sons and living in Japan for 5 years, Kim developed her skills as personal trainer for the US Navy and then at LifeTime Fitness upon returning to Fairfax, VA.
Kim is excited to be back in the physical therapy field and is eager to apply her experience at Ascend. Kim’s unique passion for providing individual care to her clients will enhance Ascend’s hallmark philosophy. Kim recently added dry needing and pelvic health to her skills, and is seeing great results wtith her patients.
In her free time, Kim enjoys swimming, hiking with her family and dog Vizsla, as well as studying Japanese.
